Job Summary Plays a crucial role in providing immediate and specialized care to children facing acute illnesses or injuries in a dedicated pediatric emergency department. Quickly assesses the conditions of pediatric patients, prioritizes care based on severity of their conditions, and implements life‑saving interventions. Provides family‑centered care Quickly assesses patients to identify their needs Able to work well under pressure Works closely with board‑certified pediatric emergency physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to provide excellent care Explains treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance Maintains hospital and unit specific competencies Collaborates with the pediatric acute care team to coordinate transition of care for an admitted patient Experience Level At least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience preferred Position Requirements Courses offered through the hospital and required within 6 months of hire: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Benefits Program PTO Retirement Matching FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) Identity Theft Protection Legal Aid Williamson Health is an equal‑opportunity employer and a drug‑free workplace.
