This is an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art lab with a team that is focused on the development of hardware for next generation consumer electronic devices. This is an on-site role in Redmond, WA.Role OverviewThe lab operates six Stratasys PolyJet printers: three J750 systems and three J850 systems.This position will be primarily responsible for processing printed parts, preparing printers for daily production, performing routine equipment maintenance, and keeping the lab clean, organized, and production-ready. The technician will work closely with the Additive Manufacturing Lead (FTE) and the AM service team to support the complete PolyJet workflow.While processing parts, machine readiness and maintenance will remain the technician's primary responsibilities. We are seeking a versatile individual who can be cross-trained to pre-process print data, prepare builds, and operate other AM technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS). This capability will provide greater flexibility, production coverage, and continuity within the AM service team.The lab operates six Stratasys PolyJet printers: three J750 systems and three J850 systems.Key ResponsibilitiesWork under the direction of the AM Lead and coordinate daily production priorities with the AM service team.Processing PolyJet printed parts.Performing quality control.Perform routine maintenance on PolyJet machines.Diagnosing build issues and responding with corrective action.Serve as backup support when the AM Lead or other service-team members are unavailable.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma AND 2+ years model-making or shop experience, including building and machining appearance models or prototypes OR equivalent experience.Hands-on experience as a manufacturing technician.Close attention to detailExperience maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.Experience processing FDM, SLA, or SLS parts.Experience post-processing parts with a variety of finishes.Experience performing quality control in a production or prototyping environment.Preferred Qualifications2-year technical degree or Bachelor's degree AND 2+ years model-making or shop experience, including building and machining appearance models or prototypes OR equivalent experience.Experience maintaining and troubleshooting PolyJet 3D printers.Experience preparing 3D model data for additive manufacturing.Experience with PolyJet build-preparation, slicing, nesting, or printer-management software. xhyhwjd Preferred experience in one or more of the packages below:Formlabs PreFormMaterialize MagicsStratasys GrabCADExperience pre-processing PolyJet, SLA, FDM, and SLS parts.
