You will be supporting our Boise, Twin Falls, Tri-Cities, Yakima, and Wenatchee markets.About Townsquare Media:Townsquare is a media, entertainment, and digital marketing solutions company dedicated to serving small and mid-sized markets across the U.S. We own and operate 354 radio stations and more than 400 local websites across 74 markets—including trusted Boise, Twin Falls, Tri-Cities – Richland/Kennewick/Pasco, Yakima, and Wenatchee stations.We combine the power of local media with best-in-class digital solutions to help businesses grow—offering everything from broadcast and digital advertising to SEO, web design, and programmatic marketing.The Regional Market Engineering Manager Opportunity:Townsquare Media is looking for a Regional Market Engineering Manager to oversee our multi-station broadcast radio facilities in the Boise, Twin Falls, Tri-Cities, Yakima, and Wenatchee markets.Essential Functions:Travel & Transportation:Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportationDrive independently to multiple transmitter sites across assigned markets, including remote locationsRespond to emergency equipment failures on short notice, including after hours and weekendsTravel between sites safely and efficiently, navigating to locations without assistanceTechnical Operations:Manage activities for a goal of 100% uptime of station on-air and streaming productsInspect, repair, and maintain all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antennas, satellite downlinks, automation systems, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators, telephone systems, and related equipmentInstall and maintain AoIP and automation systems (Zetta and Wheatstone experience preferred)Maintain and troubleshoot AM directional antenna systemsMaintain EAS systems, logging compliance, and related equipmentMaintain personal computers, servers, printers, and software; perform updates as neededInstall and maintain LAN systemsEnsure compliance with FCC technical rules and perform duties of Chief OperatorEnsure compliance with all Company Engineering and Information Technology practicesCognitive & Communication:Read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics, and procedure manualsFollow detailed verbal and written instructions accurately and retain information necessary to complete tasksIdentify and differentiate between multiple transmitters, equipment components, and site locationsDiagnose equipment issues and make real-time decisions to restore broadcast operationsWrite routine reports and correspondenceSpeak effectively with programming staff, management, and other employees to achieve operational goalsInterface with Senior Vice President of Engineering and Senior Vice President, Information Technology, as well as other Corporate Technical Staff to ensure current guidance and best practices are followed.Safety & Physical Requirements:Follow all safety protocols for working with high-voltage equipment and at tower sitesMaintain situational awareness to prevent falls and injuriesClimb ladders and work at heightsWork in varying weather conditions and outdoor environmentsFrequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hearOccasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlFrequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsMaintain close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, view a computer terminal, read extensively, visually inspect small defects and parts, operate machines, and use measurement devicesQualifications:Technical training school, or two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)SBE or computer-related certification helpful but not requiredFamiliarity with Microsoft Windows (all versions), Microsoft Office, networking concepts, computer hardware, and wireless/handheld devicesAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formWork Schedule:After-hours and weekend work as requiredOn-call availability for emergency responseDisclaimer:This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are the exclusive standards of the position.
