Club Operations Assistant

Summary This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Clubs. This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hrs./wk. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible (intermittent) category position are not eligible for benefits. Responsibilities The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and assists the Club Manager in the economic and efficient operation of the club. Monitors operations of a club or assigned area, normally during the absence of the manager and assistant manager and normally at night or on weekends. Serves as a person in charge of the club during assigned shifts, maintaining the overall security of the club resources, including cash, controlled forms, consumable products, non-consumable products, fixtures, and furnishing. Responsible for issuing, receipt, and control of cash boxes. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Reviews the scheduled functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that club rules, regulations, and established procedures are followed. Responsible for conducting club card checks. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all club staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Completes all closing checklists, including sanitation, fire, and security, and prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. May be required to work as a window cashier. When workflow exceeds scheduled manpower, this position will ensure that other personnel in the club are temporarily shifted to assist the understaffed area. May operate government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart etc. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, and/or retail operation. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods. Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to provide work direction to other club employees in regards to fire, safety and health regulations. Experience as a supervisor is desired.
