This role works closely with operations, purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to optimize schedules, minimize downtime, and meet customer demand while maintaining cost efficiency.Principal Duties and Essential FunctionsDevelop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet customer demands and production goals.Adjust schedule proactively to respond to unexpected changes such as equipment breakdowns, supply chain disruptions or urgent orders.Collaborate with supervisors and team leaders, supply chain, quality control and warehouse teams ensure resources (labor, machines, tools) are allocated effectivelyPresent daily/weekly schedule with stakeholders from operations, purchasing, engineering and quality. Receive feedback and adjust the schedule based on stakeholders' needsSupport inventory management by aligning production schedules with target inventory levelsAttend customer meetings to gain understanding of their needs and be able to answer scheduling related questionsCoordinate with customer service to proactively manage on time delivery to customersAddress production disruptions by analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, labor constraints and build recover plansMonitor production costs to ensure processes remain within budget and identify opportunities for cost reductionPrepare and distribute weekly/monthly production reports for managementPerform other tasks as requiredAdditional Required Qualifications/Skills:1. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)2. Strong knowledge of ERP/MES systems3. Superior communication skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing.4. Ability to analyze data, forecasts and production performance to make informed decisions5. Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, assess situations and recommend solutions6. Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks and projects7. Associates Degree or 1-5 years of experience as a Production PlannerAdditional Preferred Qualifications/Skills:1. 5 -10 years' experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing environment2. Proficient in Power query and Power BI3. Technical writing using Microsoft word and PowerPointMust be able to work on government contracts
