About the Role:

New Jersey Center for Oral Surgery is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Team Member – Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team in Caldwell, NJ. Responsibilities:

• Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and bone grafting
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instrument trays
• Monitor and support patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
• Document patient records, treatment notes, and post-operative instructions accurately
• Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment per OSHA and infection control protocols
• Educate patients on post-operative care and answer procedural questions

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred
• Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Familiarity with dental radiography and X-ray certification required
• Strong chairside manner with excellent patient communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Team-oriented, reliable, and detail-focused professional
