Infusion RN- South Dallas, Tx

Overview Texas Oncology is seeking an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Infusion Department at our South Dallas, TX location. This is a full‑time Monday - Friday, 8:30 am‑5 pm position with no weekends, on‑call, or major holidays. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material. Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. Administer all medications and blood products using correct medication, dosage, route, time, and technique. Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration where applicable. Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing education program; BSN preferred. 0‑3 years of RN experience, with entry, mid, or senior level acceptable. Current RN state license in the practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Working Conditions The work environment includes exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology clinic.
