Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced RN specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide exceptional care for obstetric patients. The role involves managing high-risk pregnancies, assisting with deliveries, and performing postpartum care in a busy Maternal Fetal Medicine unit.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care to obstetric patients across various stages of childbirth.
• Monitor fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring equipment and respond to any deviations.
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, including C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
• Educate patients and their families on postpartum care, childbirth processes, and newborn care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent L&D experience.
• Demonstrate high-risk obstetric nursing expertise.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Be able to perform circulating and comprehensive obstetric procedures.
• Display strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly and adaptable demeanor.
• Have proficiency in Cerner and FetaLink electronic medical records systems.
