Purchasing Agent

Romanoff Group of Companies, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with offices in eleven markets covering eight states, is a blend of commercial and residential, electrical, heating & cooling, and plumbing companies primarily serving the new housing construction market. Job Type: Full‑time Position Summary A Purchasing Agent is responsible for creating and issuing purchasing orders. The Purchasing Agent will collaborate with the project team to place these orders and work with vendors to negotiate pricing and availability of products. Position Responsibilities Support and guide the project managers and construction managers on purchasing procedures. Ensure that all purchasing procedures are followed and executed in a professional manner. Adhere to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures. Review submittals and bills of material. Assist with procurement issues. Use knowledge of material to acquire required equipment and related installation material. Negotiate best vendor terms, pricing, and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements. Establish relationships with vendors. Work with other job functions on accurate cost projections. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Required: 2+ years of Electrical/HVAC Installation or Engineering experience. Required: Knowledge of Electrical/HVAC systems such as, but not limited to, Switchgears, Panel Boards, Panels, Emergency Generator, and/or HVAC Units and parts. Required: Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.) and Bluebeam. Preferred: Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics a plus. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
