This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to established imaging protocols and radiation safety standards. Responsibilities • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and clinical protocols • Conduct routine and specialized imaging examinations including X-ray, MRI, and CT procedures as assigned • Perform bone density examinations (DEXA scans) to assist in the assessment and diagnosis of osteoporosis and other bone health conditions • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining examinations, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort • Accurately position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images • Minimize patient radiation exposure while maintaining optimal image quality • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and procedure details • Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control practices, and departmental policies • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to support quality patient care • Perform routine equipment checks, quality control procedures, and report equipment concerns as necessary Requirements • Current New York State ARRT (R) License and Registration required • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required • Minimum of 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience required • Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and radiographic techniques • Understanding of radiation safety principles and patient protection standards • Excellent communication and patient care skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced clinical environments • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams Required Clinical Skills • Diagnostic radiography procedures • Digital X-ray imaging • Patient positioning and preparation • Radiation safety and protection practices • Bone density (DEXA) examinations • MRI and CT imaging experience preferred • Image acquisition and quality assurance • Electronic medical record documentation • Equipment operation and quality control testing • Patient education and communication Schedule & Assignment Details • 13-week contract assignment • Full-time and part-time opportunities available • Day, evening, and night shifts available • Hospital and outpatient treatment center settings • Multiple New York City locations What Candidates Can Expect We believe transparency matters.
