Lifeguard Position

Requirements / Qualifications

The position is 6.0 hrs 9 am to 3:30 pm / 237 work days - 12 months. You're an excellent candidate for our Lifeguard position, if you have a passion for working with children, enjoy working in a team, and you possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• One year experience as a lifeguard.
• Experience working with school-aged youth in physical activities preferred.
• Valid CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer Certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Lifeguard certification issued by the American Red Cross.
• Possession of a current First Aid Card.

Located in east San Diego County. The district is 66.3 square miles in size, and serves elementary students in grades K-8 feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools and 1 preschool). The District is largely urban in nature with some rural areas. Regardless of what our employees' needs are, we meet them with the personalized attention only a caring school district can provide.
