Team Staffing is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill 1 st shift positions for a company located in West Burlington, IA. Candidate must be goal driven and want to stay at a company long term to qualify.


Positions available:

• Prep Assembly
• Manual Crimp
• Wire Harness Assembly

If client is interested in interviewing you, they will have you perform a test to see which dept. they would like you in.

Hours: 7am - 3:30pm unless OT, schedule may change to reflect OT

Pay: $15.00/HR


Prep Assembly Job Duties:

• Ability to identify parts by part number
• Ability to kit up carts for prep builders to assemble
• Retrieve wiring carts for prep area
• Fix errors with any plugs that were prepared incorrectly or inadequately
• Organize bins in correct order by using blueprints
• Build plugs by blueprint
• Ability to decipher all colors of wiring
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Occasional lifting up to 20lbs

Manual Crimp Job Duties:

• The job entitles the application of a terminal on a pre-cut copper wire
• Using hand tools to create a secure bond between a connector and a copper wire by compressing them together.
• Using manual crimping machine with a plier's capability to provide grip for exerting force on the jaws to create crimp connections.
• Clean and prepare wire by using dykes to remove filler wire
• Measure height of the terminal around copper wiring to ensure it meets expectation
• Complete pull test to measure strength and durability of the terminal by applying a pullout resistance

Wiring Harnesses Assembler is a fundamental step of the wiring harnesses manufacturing process, consisting in the manual assembly of wire and connectors on an assembly board to create step by step a full wiring harness.


Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Blueprint Knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, establish work priorities, and manage time effectively
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with others and be an effective member of the team
• Ability to work in warm conditions up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
