Assistant Store Manager

SUMMARY

The ReStore Assistant Manager supports and executes all aspects of operations for their assigned store in partnership with the ReStore Store Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Leads, supports, and models our Core Values with staff, donors, and customers. Educates customers and staff about the importance of donation round-ups Leads by example, supports, and holds team accountable to all company policies and procedures Executes essential job functions such as, but not limited to, opening/closing procedures, team and volunteer supervision, and cash controls Assists in donation processing, maintaining an organized stockroom, the execution of merchandise presentation directives, pricing, and accuracy of inventory levels for purchased product Ensures that policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and Employee Handbook are followed Manage expenses and cash control Manage inventory for purchased products KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES To be respectful, courteous, and professional in all interactions with staff, volunteers, and customers Communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds To be dedicated to working in and promoting a team environment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team and with great energy and persistence Proven organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and produce high-quality results quickly and on time Critical thinking, problem solving, accuracy, and attention to detail Available to work weekends and evenings EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE College preferred or 1-3 years of experience in a retail environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be on their feet for long periods of time (8-hour days, 5 days/week). The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, carry, as well as pulling and reaching to obtain stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale. Position requires the ability to frequently lift products/supplies up to 50lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates primarily in a retail/warehouse environment and can require operating equipment such as a forklift, power tools, hand tools, ladders, price guns, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Occasionally works in outside conditions that can include heat, humidity, and high noise levels.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The ReStore Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising the ReStore Associates.
