General Maintenance Technician: Full-Time

Maintenance Technician (PLC / Industrial Maintenance) We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. Training & Schedule Training: First 2 weeks, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Post-Training: Transition to night shift schedule Overtime may be required based on production needs Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life Program and troubleshoot PLC systems Fabricate and weld components as needed Maintain and repair production machinery and automated systems Manage and order MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) parts and supplies Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Collaborate with team members and assist senior technicians as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming Strong electrical and mechanical skills Knowledge of welding and fabrication Familiarity with MRO processes and inventory management Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent communication and teamwork skills EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
