Our client is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a large, unionized workforce. Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist Role:

• Process biweekly payroll for approximately 550 employees, ensuring accuracy across departments.
• Interpret collective bargaining agreements to ensure proper pay, deductions, and benefits administration.
• Review and resolve employee medical leave backlogs, maintaining accurate payroll records.
• Maintain, audit, and report on payroll data within the UKG system.
• Troubleshoot payroll and system issues, partnering with HR and finance to drive solutions.

Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

• Preferred: Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• 2+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a union environment.
• Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or similar systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret labor agreements and policies.
