Cares for a group of assigned patients with various needs to ensure safe, high-quality care is delivered. Care includes but not limited to, providing for patient's daily needs such as hygiene, mobility, nutrition, toileting, ensuring safety measures are in place, communication with patient & care team, documentation of care provided. Additional skills as validated include urinary catheter insertion and removal, removal IV reseal, superpubic catheter care, telemetry lead placement and ostomy care/maintenance.This is a Full time, Days, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday position only. No weekends.Minimum Qualifications:Required Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) - Relevant Specialty; Patient Care Technician - If applicable; OR Reference summary for details; Active CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within seven days of hire if enrolled in the PCT internship and prior to patient contact or required on hire.Preferred Credentials: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)Minimum requirements include one of the following : 6 months acute care experience; or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or successfully completes a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT Internship; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN); or Nursing Foundation (LPN) Programs; or EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only; or completed a PCT or Nursing Assistant program which includes a clinical component.Preferred Experience: 1 year - Hospital in related field.Education:Essential: Required - High School or Equivalent; Required - Technical - Patient Care Technician; Or - Technical - Certified Nursing Assistant; Or - Technical - Emergency Medical Technician; Or - Technical - Licensed Practical Nurse; Or - Technical - Reference summary for detailsFacility: BayCare Health System, PACU-MPHLocation: Morton PlantStatus: Full Time, Exempt: NoShift Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PMShift: Shift 1Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = VariesWeekend Work: NoneOn Call: YesHow often will this team member be working remotely?
