NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled NICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team committed to enhancing the health and well-being of our most vulnerable patients.

Schedules

• 12-hour shifts, either 07:00 - 19:30 or 19:00 - 07:30
• Weekday shifts Monday through Friday
• Required to work 2-3 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Orientation week shift length may vary and include 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates, including those requiring specialized interventions.
• Manage and monitor post-operative patients and those with complex medical needs, including g-tubes and trach/ventilator management.
• Utilize various modes of invasive and non-invasive ventilation techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of total NICU experience, including at least 1 year of full-time experience in a Level IV NICU.
• Experience with post-operative care, g-tubes, and trach/ventilation management is required.
• BLS and NRP certification from AHA is mandatory.
• Current RN license is required.
• Previous experience with Epic electronic health record system is essential.
