Who We Are Looking For We want engineers who are technical, data‑driven, and creative, with a deep understanding of the software development life cycle and a passion for building great developer experiences. Our PM team hires courageous, passionate PMs who set big goals and execute them, leading ambitious and often ambiguous projects that extend our industry lead. What You Will Be Doing You will own the software development life cycle at the Trade Desk – from the first day of a new developer, to feature discussions, coding, debugging, deployment, and A/B testing. You will shape the developer experience (DX) strategy and roadmap, refine local developer environments, streamline code checkout, build, and merge processes, and develop AI strategies and tools that help engineers be more efficient. You will work closely with engineering, product, and other key stakeholders to define metrics, drive data‑driven decisions, and lead complex, fast‑paced projects. What You Bring to the Table 6+ years of direct product management enterprise software development experience working with local developer tools, IDEs, source code repositories, build and merge processes, deployment frameworks, and product/feature releases. Deep understanding of the role of AI in a developer’s life, including AI IDE plugins, CLI tools, AI agent frameworks, and their impact on the SDLC. Demonstrated “working backwards” from internal customers to build long‑term strategies and solutions. Track record of building great developer experiences and delivering large, impactful software projects with measurable business outcomes. Proven partnership with engineering teams to solve complex technical problems and deliver measurable results. Excellent communication skills, confident in technical conversations, driving consensus, and clearly communicating delivery timelines, trade‑offs, and risks to senior management. Durability and grit, willing to iterate creatively until solutions co‑erence. Enthusiasm for developer, DevOps, emerging technologies, and staying current with industry trends.
