Location This is an onsite role in 100% Onsite, Spring, Houston, TX Fulltime permanent role with Capgemini Engineering About the job you’re considering: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented GIS Analyst to support geospatial initiatives involving mapping, spatial data preparation, geospatial analysis, and data integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in ArcGIS Pro (ArcPro) , spatial data management, cartographic design, and geospatial analytics. This role will focus on preparing, transforming, validating, and visualizing spatial datasets while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across multiple GIS workflows. Your Role: GIS & Spatial Analysis Develop, maintain, and update GIS datasets using ArcGIS Pro. Perform advanced spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data manipulation activities. Create high-quality maps, dashboards, visualizations, and location intelligence products for business stakeholders. Conduct spatial operations including spatial joins, overlays, buffering, proximity analysis, and network analysis. Prepare, clean, validate, and transform spatial and tabular datasets for reporting and analytics. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of geospatial data assets. Support geospatial decision-making by delivering actionable location-based insights. Data Management & Integration Import, export, and manage spatial and non-spatial data from multiple sources and formats. Support data preparation and migration workflows between ArcGIS Pro, databases, spreadsheets, and external systems. Perform data quality assessments and resolve data inconsistencies. Maintain GIS metadata, standards, and documentation. Manage geodatabases and support enterprise GIS data governance initiatives. Implement data standardization and quality control processes. Database & Technical Support Develop and execute SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis. Support integration of GIS data with enterprise databases, reporting platforms, and business applications. Collaborate with business users, project teams, and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver geospatial solutions. Assist in automating GIS workflows using Python, ArcPy, ModelBuilder, or other automation tools. Troubleshoot GIS-related data and system issues. Produce professional‑grade maps, presentations, and geospatial reports for executive leadership, clients, and project teams. Design visually compelling cartographic products that communicate spatial patterns, trends, and business insights. Support ad hoc mapping requests and rapid‑turnaround analytical projects. Ensure adherence to cartographic standards and GIS best practices. Your skills and experience 8+ years of professional experience in GIS analysis and geospatial data management. Strong hands‑on experience with ArcGIS Pro (ArcPro) . Candidates with experience in SQL, Python automation, enterprise databases, and large‑scale geospatial data environments are required. Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Investment Banking, Financial Services, Energy, or Oil & Gas industries will be an advantage. Experience with Python scripting, ArcPy, or GIS workflow automation. Experience performing spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and cartographic production. Proficiency in managing geodatabases and GIS data models. Experience working with large, complex spatial and tabular datasets. Knowledge of data validation, quality assurance, and data transformation techniques. The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$73,150 - $174,000/Year Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
