Bilingual Production Lead operator

GENERAL PURPOSE:Maintain machine workflow to meet due dates for assigned machines.Schedule 3:15pm - 1:15am Monday - ThursdayESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Operates Affixing machine to keep up with scheduled workload.Cross trains on additional packaging machines as needed.Looks up and understands customer requirements.Sets up and operates camera systems per job specifications.Adheres to Quality Control processes.Sets up labeler and packagingProvides technical support when required.Enters accurate information into data collection system.Reads job tickets, verifies job and part numbers match affixing mockup before loading machine.Checks register and make necessary adjustments to produce expected output.Monitors quality outputs, making adjustments as necessary.Completes paperwork recording counts.Sustains cleanliness and organization in all machine areas using 5S principles.Performs other job duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 2 years’ prior experience working with manufacturing machines (Ga-Vehren, Kirk Rudy, Shanklin) preferred.Must be proficient with a computer related to the controls for affixing lines and camera systems.Must have the ability to read and write instructions and correspondence in English.Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.Must be able to maintain good attendance.Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.SAFE WORK REQUIREMENTS:PPE: Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs or Earmuffs, Safety Shoes, Gloves when required, Hard Hats, and any other PPE required based on the job or task.Compliance with Smurfit Westrock’s employment policies, handbook, and workplace safety policies, rules, and procedures.Submission of Safety Concerns and Safety Work Order / Incident Reporting and Learning / Basic understanding of the Safety Excellence SystemFollow the site management (General Manager, Plant Manager, Department Manager, Shift Supervisor) assignments for completing tasks and managing programs as part of the Safety Excellence System.Must follow the Training Matrix assigned in the Learning and Development System.
