Contract | Evening Shift (3x12 Hours, 15:00–03:30) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 1:5, with a significant portion of patients being admitted holds.
• Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights; document and communicate clinical findings accurately.
• Care for a patient population that may consist primarily of admitted/ED holding patients given current census trends.
• Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; floating to Pediatric ED is optional; potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience.
• Work weekends as scheduled; weekend nights are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications and facility-specific training modules, including EKG testing requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (New Mexico license may be pending at time of submission).
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required; 1.5 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC — TNCC must be obtained prior to submission; NIHSS may be pending until compliance document due date.
• RQI certifications are not accepted in place of required certifications.
• Prior travel nursing experience is strongly preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience and no travel experience may be considered.
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; a non-local driver's license is required on file.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level I Trauma center experience strongly preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred, particularly for the Emergency Department.
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system.
• Experience managing admitted/ED holding patients in a high-acuity environment.
