Heart Failure Cardiologist Las Cruces, New Mexico Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Heart Failure Cardiologist to join an established cardiovascular team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to serve as the region s dedicated Advanced Heart Failure specialist while helping build and expand a comprehensive heart failure program for a growing referral base across Southern New Mexico and West Texas.

The incoming physician will collaborate closely with experienced cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams in a supportive and patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage patients with advanced heart failure and complex cardiovascular conditions
Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based heart failure therapies
Collaborate with cardiology, hospitalist, intensivist, and primary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Interpret and utilize advanced cardiac imaging including echocardiography and cardiac MRI
Participate in inpatient and outpatient heart failure management
Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical program growth
Engage in patient education and preventive cardiovascular care
Optional participation in clinical research and clinical trials

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology preferred
Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Mexico
Strong interest in program development and multidisciplinary collaboration
Experience with advanced cardiac imaging preferred
