Land Manager

Reports to: Geoscience & Land Supervisor About the Opportunity Behind every mining project is a foundation of land agreements, access rights, and records that have to be right. Our client is looking for a Land Management Specialist to support land tenure, land access, and property management across resource development properties. You'll work closely with environmental, permitting, operations, and legal teams to keep land activities aligned with regulatory requirements and company standards. From agreement coordination to acquisitions and divestments, this is detail work that carries real weight for the project. And you'll be joining a team that treats safety and sustainability as shared values, not checkboxes. What You'll Do Land Tenure & Agreement Coordination Review , track, and maintain land agreements, including License of Occupation, Statutory Right of Way, Access, Road Use, and Purchase and Sale Agreements. Assist in drafting and coordinating new land agreements and amendments as needed. Monitor agreement obligations, key dates, and commitments to ensure compliance with contractual terms. Maintain accurate records of agreements and related correspondence. Coordinate with internal teams, landowners, and external stakeholders to support land access requirements and agreement administration. Ensure land management activities align with regulatory requirements, company policies, and environmental standards. Support land-related compliance activities and participate in site risk assessments where required. Land Stewardship & Portfolio Support Support stewardship of company land assets, keeping land use activities aligned with regulatory requirements and company standards. Assist with property acquisitions, divestments, and land transactions. Work with internal departments to integrate land considerations into operational and project planning. Communicate with regulatory agencies, landowners, and other external stakeholders on land access, agreements, and related requirements. Records Management & Data Systems Maintain accurate, up-to-date land records, including permits, agreements, and documentation for third-party engagements. Use GIS and database systems to track land tenure, property boundaries, and land-related activities. Keep land information systems and documentation organized and accessible. Research & Risk Reduction Conduct research on land rights, regulatory requirements, and permitting processes. Prepare reports, summaries, and internal communications that support informed decision-making. Help identify and resolve land-related issues, risks, and stakeholder concerns. Support initiatives that improve land management efficiency and reduce operational risk. What You Bring Education Bachelor's degree or certification in Business Administration, Commerce, Land Management, Real Estate, Legal Studies, Natural Resources Management, Geosciences, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience 5+ years in land management, real estate administration, legal administration, permitting, or a related field. Experience in resource development, mining, infrastructure, or land management environments is an asset. A background supporting land access agreements, land tenure administration, or property transactions is highly beneficial. Key Skills Strong organizational and documentation management skills. High attention to detail, with the ability to track multiple agreements, obligations, and records. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, landowners, and regulatory agencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with contract tracking systems, land databases, or records management systems is beneficial. Experience using GIS platforms, such as ArcGIS, to manage and maintain land tenure records. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills. Willingness to work across office and project site environments, with occasional travel to operating or construction sites.
