Senior Instrumentation Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

Seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to deliver accurate, compliant, and cost-effective instrumentation and control packages. This role ensures all technical deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget while adhering to industry codes and regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Execution & Compliance: Deliver high-quality engineering packages in strict compliance with relevant codes, laws, and industry standards.
• Project Delivery: Execute work within established scopes, schedules, and budgets under the guidance of Lead Engineers and the Discipline Supervisor.
• Core Deliverables: Prepare and manage instrument indexes, I/O lists, sizing and datasheets, location plans, installation details, cause & effect matrices, control philosophies, and wiring drawings (junction box and PLC panel).
• Procurement Support: Participate in the procurement lifecycle through technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.

SOFTWARE PROFICIENCIES

• Instrumentation & CAD: SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INTools) or AVEVA Instrumentation; AutoCAD (2D/3D) or MicroStation.
• Control Systems: Familiarity with PLC, DCS, and SCADA hardware configuration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Technical Management: Strong grasp of project scope, schedule, and budget; ability to lead instrumentation scopes and support proposal man-hour estimates.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with multi-discipline teams, clients, and lead engineers.
