Cell Line Development Research Associate

Job Responsibilities:

Skills:

• Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture production processes is a critical requirement. This includes small scale (shaker flasks, spinner flasks, spin tubes, deep well) and/or benchtop bioreactor scale.
• Experience with creation, analysis and characterization of new engineered cell lines and stability studies (subcloning, clonal expansion, transient transfection and expression screening) is a strong plus.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques (plasmid design, molecular cloning, SDS-PAGE/western blotting, qPCR, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Automation and ELN experience are a strong plus.
• Effective communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal).
• Industry experience is a plus but not required
• Basic Knowledge on AAV biology is a plus.
• Must be able to interact with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Experience in laboratory automation hardware and software is a plus.
• Teamwork is a must.

Education/Experience:

• B.S. with 3-6 years of experience, MS. C with 2-5 years of relevant scientific or technical experience in the life sciences industry or equivalent
• Experience in cell culture including materials, instruments and technologies is essential.
• Experience with viral vector production is preferred.
