We are seeking reliable and hardworking Temporary Labor Help to assist with general labor tasks on a short-term basis. This position involves physical work to assist with turning over student housing units in preparation for new and returning student move in.

This is a full-time/temporary position; $15.00/hour plus overtime (with overtime expected) through mid-August.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect units for damage, wear and tear, and any necessary repairs.

Complete necessary repairs and ensure units are cleaned properly.

Complete maintenance items as needed.

Assist turn team with all other tasks assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Must be able to physically carry out duties as assigned.

·         Must be able to effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers.

·         Ability to understand directives both orally and in writing.

·         Energy and motivation to be part of an exciting team event.

·         Must be able to work assigned hours/varied work schedule.

·         Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The physical demands of the job described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 

·         Must be able to stand and walk for considerable amount of time.

·         Bend, reach, climb stairs, climb ladders, grasp, reach with hands.

·         Balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.

·         must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds individually and up to 200 pounds with assistance devices (i.e. hand trucks, dollies, additional persons, etc.).

·         Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  Prescription eye-ware must be worn.

·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in both an indoor and outdoor environment and is exposed to adverse weather conditions.
