Position: Billing Supervisor

Job Description:

The Billing Supervisor is responsible for oversight of all LTL Billing operations. This individual will work under the direction of the Manager of Billing and will supervise all staff members to ensure that all tasks are completed timely and accurately.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Establish policies and procedures
• Mentor and supervise direct reports
• Responsible for assisting the manager with interviewing, hiring, and training
• Coordinating/assigning tasks, performing annual evaluation
• Team payroll, schedules, Kronos timekeeping
• Ensure accurate and timely billing
• Analyze new customers needs and implement processes as needed
• Set up new customers and communicate new processes to the field and billing staff as needed
• Analyze and update monthly accounting reports as needed, unbilled reports and revenue reports
• Monitor weekly billing progress
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Associate or bachelors degree and 2-5 years of experience in the field of business, finance or similar preferred
• Leadership and supervisory skills
• Strong computer skills, ability to adapt to multiple systems and especially Microsoft Excel
• Possess analytical and interpersonal skills
• Be a self-motivated, problem solver
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, officers, vendors, and the public
• Transportation experience preferred but not required
  
  

Skills:

• Ideal candidate will possess a can do attitude with a will do work ethic
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with AS400 operating systems and Oracle is a plus
• Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
