Summary The Bridge Center is an initiative of the Public Health Institute (PHI) that strengthens the impact of hospital emergency departments (EDs) on population health issues and health equity. Our largest program, CA Bridge, has supported over 290 hospitals over the last six years to implement medication for addiction treatment (MAT) in the ED. Our Bridge National Expansion Project (National Bridge) builds capacity for ED MAT in every state. Our Emergency Medical Services program extends the administration of low barrier MAT to paramedics. Our Emergency Department Syphilis/HIV/HCV Screening Program (EDSP) expands routine opt-out testing for these infections to increase public health equity and provide immediate care for people at highest risk. Our Access Bridge program builds the capacity of America’s emergency departments (EDs) to serve as reproductive health safety nets. The National Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of National Bridge training and technical assistance work with hospitals, health systems, and local, state level, and regional agencies and organizations. In collaboration with the National Clinical Implementation Manager, the National Project Manager will lead site engagement and communication, and support development and maintenance of grant activities, including trainings and technical assistance, and national content and program materials. The National Project Manager leads program operations related to national activities in collaboration with the Bridge operations team and coordinates planning and logistics for presentations and speaking opportunities.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position with a schedule of 40 hours/week. The position is primarily remote and open to candidates nationwide. The incumbent must be able to travel to the San Francisco Bay Area (CA), 2-4 times a year. Full salary range for this position: $77,625 to $112,620 per year. The typical hiring range for this position is from $77,625 (minimum) to $95,123 (midpoint), based on 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined using a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity consideration and budget availability.

POSITION GOALS

Successful management of projects related to national training and technical assistance programs Tracking project tasks, roles, deliverables, and timelines on behalf of several funded projects simultaneously Effective facilitation of national program functions using professional project management tools and techniques Essential Duties & Responsibilities National Bridge Training and Technical Assistance Outcome: Successful execution of trainings and technical assistance to facilitate the implementation and/or expansion of Bridge programming around the country in line with expectations of grant deliverables. Activities: Under the direction of the National Clinical Implementation Manager, facilitate planning, implementation, and tracking of training and technical assistance related to national projects in conjunction with program and clinical implementation leaders Lead site engagement, including dissemination of training materials, scheduling meetings and site visits, and tracking progress of sites engaged through national implementation projects Plan and coordinate the drafting and completion of site summaries and grant reports on time and in line with contract deliverables and in conjunction with the team leadership (National Clinical Implementation Manager, Executive Leadership Team members, and Implementation Leaders) and operations team Provide project support to maintain relationships and liaise with national clinical leadership and representatives through regular outreach and communication and responses to inquiries and requests for technical assistance, training, and materials Manage and organize national content in collaboration with program and clinical team including routine updates of training materials and customization for individual sites Operations Leadership Outcome: National Bridge team is organized to ensure that deliverable deadlines are met in a timely, efficient, and efficiently paced manner, and opportunities to present materials and trainings are maximized and aligned with programmatic goals and funder expectations. Activities: Assist in the design and management of operational processes including national activity tracking and timelines of trainings, reports, presentation, and travel activities in conjunction with team leadership to inform effective planning and deliverables management across teams Develop and manage a system to track award deliverables and deadlines in collaboration with the National Clinical Implementation Manager and the Bridge operations team Support selected national presentation planning and execution, including coordination of consultants and presenters, collaborating with internal and external partners, information gathering, and content development, at the direction of program leadership Coordinate national travel planning for presentations, conferences, and social events in line with programmatic goals, under direction of the National Clinical Implementation Manager and in collaboration across Bridge teams Work in conjunction with program assistant(s) and across teams for effective coordination and delegation of tasks Support program leadership to coordinate process improvements for feedback and quality improvement on national training and technical assistance activities Partner Engagement Outcome: Effective and efficient communication with existing and potential partners in order to promote the National Bridge brand and program success. Activities: Track National Bridge contacts accumulated over the course of trainings and other events using existing client management tools Engage National Bridge partners via email, Slack, social media and other platforms, as necessary, in furtherance of established National Bridge communication goals Capture partner feedback and testimonials related to trainings, site visits, webinars, and other National Bridge programming Collaborate with Bridge Communications staff members to develop marketing and communications tools for new and existing projects Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Five years of project management or relevant public health experience Bachelor’s degree, or substitute with four additional years of related experience Other Qualifications Ability to communicate verbally in a clear and concise manner Ability to communicate and establish effective working relationships with diverse groups and interact effectively with co-workers, personnel in partner agencies, and other external stakeholders Strong writing skills and experience gathering and synthesizing information from diverse sources Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from basic data presented in charts and graphs Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks using identified tools Demonstrated ability to learn quickly about complex public health topics Experience facilitating small group conversations Able to demonstrate commitment to furthering the Bridge Center’s anti-stigma approach and culture of harm reduction Preferred: Experience in a health care context Preferred: Demonstrated interest in substance use and related public health topics Preferred: Demonstrated commitment to elevating social and racial equity FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) STATUS This position is classified as exempt based on the job duties.
