Overview Product Design Engineer (AI & Employee Experience) Unlocking the Future of AI-Native Workspaces. Do you believe that great design isn’t just how something looks, but how it behaves? We are partnering with a world-renowned, design-led Silicon Valley technology pioneer to find a hybrid Product Design Engineer. This team is reimagining the modern workspace by building a suite of AI-powered internal tools. You will work directly in the production codebase alongside AI engineers to invent new interaction patterns for agentic systems. Please note: Standard hours are 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM UK Time, maintaining a tight 4-hour collaborative overlap with the California-based engineering hub. What You’ll Be Doing Co-authoring the AI Playbook: Define a new design language for AI-native enterprise tools, building on a proprietary Design Language System. Designing for Uncertainty: Create elegant UI patterns that address AI-specific challenges like latency, streaming responses, and non-linear user flows. Shipping Production Code: Bridge design intent and technical execution by working in Figma, Claude Code, and the internal React platform to submit pull requests. Iterative Prototyping: Build, test, and refine high-fidelity prototypes across core employee touchpoints including onboarding, performance tracking, and workforce management. What You’ll Bring Senior-level experience bridging UX/UI design and frontend engineering. Production-level React proficiency alongside expert HTML/CSS capabilities. Mastery of Figma, specifically in building and scaling complex component specs and design systems. AI Product Experience: Experience designing conversational or agentic interfaces (model handoffs, multi-turn dialogue, or tools like Claude API). A Dual-Threat Portfolio: Crucial Requirement.
