The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. What You Will Do:
- Analyze production workflows, facility layouts, and equipment utilization to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize labor standards, routings, and work instructions.
- Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, line balancing, and ergonomic assessments.
- Identify waste, non-value-added activities, and improvement opportunities; implement corrective actions.
- Create and maintain value stream maps, process flow diagrams, and standard work documentation.
- Lead employee training and mentor team members on process improvements and standard work.
- Design and optimize factory layouts using DraftSight or AutoCAD to enhance production flow.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and methodologies.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations with a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience may be acceptable
- Certification or practical knowledge in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and process optimization principles
- Proficiency in DraftSight, AutoCAD, or equivalent software
- Manufacturing experience
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across functions
