Senior Lead Software Engineer - Java/Spring

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• We require advanced knowledge of reactive programming, specifically WebFlux.
• We expect hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We need strong capability in automation and continuous delivery practices.
• We expect full command of the software development life cycle, software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• We require advanced understanding of agile methods, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We look for demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• We require hands-on experience with high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems that enable efficient communication and integration across systems.
• We need a proven track record of end-user support and strong problem-solving skills.
• We consider 10+ years of Java development experience a plus.
• On-premises and/or public cloud experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CockroachDB or Cassandra is an advantage.

• We create inventive software solutions, handle design and development, and troubleshoot technical issues using approaches beyond standard methods.
• We manage delivery for two scrum teams.
• We serve as a hands-on coding tech lead for at least half of our time.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring remediation work to strengthen the operational stability of our software applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credibility, and fit within our existing systems and information architecture.
• We lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of emerging technologies.
