ACCOUNTANT

Job Details: Level: Experienced. Job Location: Corporate Admin General Fund - Sacramento, CA 95831. Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $8,000.00 Salary/year. Job Shift: Day. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY The Accountant independently performs general accounting functions from original books of entry through financial statements. This position is also responsible for coordination of information with various departments across the organization to assure efficient and accurate business functions. This position performs accounting duties essential to the operation of ACC Senior Services facilities. The position reports to the Controller and supports other members of the accounting department as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Performs general accounting; AR, AP; credit card reconciliation; expense reports; monthly time and payroll allocations and monthly account reconciliation. Prepares and reviews P&L statement with managers. Monitors and updates security deposits; community fees reconciliations. Reconciles bank accounts and deposits; addresses bank inquiries. Reviews monthly income statements, balance sheets and departmental performance reports. Reconciles balance sheet accounts to supporting schedules; month end close. Assists administrators to prepare a monthly narrative addressing operating variances to budget following guidelines established by ACC policies. Provides data to support annual audit completion by independent audit firm. Assists with research & preparation of operating & capital budgets as needed. Ability to travel within town to meet business needs. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance or equivalent preferred. Five years minimum related experience required. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; bilingual is a plus Knowledge and experience in general financial accounting. NetSuite experience preferred; advanced skills MS Excel, Word & Google Apps. Experience in non-profit environment preferred. Experience or knowledge in the fields of adult and aging services, healthcare, or social services preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
