Apply Requisition # View phone number on click.appcast.io Shift: Day Status: Part‑time with Benefits Position Details The Rehabilitation Aide provides supportive and ancillary services to professional staff of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Scheduled two to three days per week with shifts of 8.5 or 10 hours between 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday‑Thursday (and 7 a.m.–4 p.m. Friday per office hours). Responsibilities Prepare and clean whirlpools and attend to patients while in the whirlpool. Assist patients in donning and doffing prosthetic or orthotic devices. Assist patients in dressing and undressing prior to treatment. Assist the therapist in setting up patients on all therapeutic equipment. Maintain linen and supplies for the professional staff. Prepare hot and cold packs for therapists. Adjust non‑modality equipment for patient use. Assist therapists in gait training and provide support to patients while ambulating, safely lowering patients to the floor if balance is lost. Perform daily whirlpool scheduling and complete the daily assignment sheet. Identify patient population needs and modify care accordingly (age, culture, language, hearing, visual impairments, etc.) and communicate with patients and caregivers at their level. Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies. Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned. Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes/pulls a minimum of 100 lbs., and stands a minimum of 6 hours daily. Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse patient population and work as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Office). Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred Minimum of 1 year patient care experience. Licenses And Certifications Required BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. Compensation Minimum rate: $18.57 per hour. Compensation is benchmarked against market data and may vary based on experience, education, certifications, skills, location, equity, budget, and other factors. Full‑time and part‑time positions may qualify for performance‑based incentives, bonuses, commissions, and shift differentials.
