Certified Personal Trainer

This is a full-time, on-site Certified Personal Trainer role based in Boston, MA. The Certified Personal Trainer will design and deliver individualized and small-group training programs that align with members’ fitness levels, goals, and health considerations. Daily responsibilities include conducting fitness assessments, demonstrating safe exercise techniques, coaching proper form, and monitoring progress. The role involves educating members on exercise fundamentals and basic nutrition principles, maintaining a safe and welcoming workout environment, and collaborating with the broader fitness team to support group programs and community initiatives. The trainer will also engage with members on the gym floor, support member retention through excellent service, and may assist with workshops, events, and outreach related to Healthworks’ community-focused mission. Qualifications Strong skills in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction, including designing and delivering safe, effective, and inclusive workouts. Working knowledge of basic nutrition principles to provide general guidance that complements members’ training goals. Current certification as a Personal Trainer (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA or equivalent). Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe. Ability to build rapport with diverse members, communicate clearly, and motivate individuals at all fitness levels. Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and reliability in a client-facing fitness environment. Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Prior experience in a fitness center, health club, or community fitness setting is preferred.
