Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization processes including steam sterilization, use of biological/chemical indicators, and IUSS procedures
- Operate washers/sterilizers and monitor cycle parameters; document results in the charting system
- Assemble, wrap, and package instrument sets and trays for general OR cases; support ENT, OB/GYN, orthopedics, plastics, and urology instrumentation
- Decontaminate and clean equipment, maintain case carts, and perform high-level disinfection as required
- Maintain instrument traceability and documentation; manage cleaning of crash carts, IV equipment, and PCA pumps when applicable
- Adhere to infection prevention, safety policies, and EPIC charting requirements; participate in ongoing quality assurance activities

Requirements
- Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (CRCST via HSPA/IAMCSMM accepted)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience; first-timers accepted; 2 years preferred
- Location/Travel: Travel assignment; locals within 50 miles are not eligible
- Charting: Proficiency with EPIC or similar charting system preferred
- Work setting: Ability to work in a sterile processing department within a hospital setting and support night shift requirements
