Restaurant Food Server

Responsibilities: • Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors • Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed • Participate in pre-shift and department meetings to gain a thorough grasp of all products, services, and facility activities • Welcome customers upon arrival and promptly seat them, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve meals, and meet any special requirements or requests • Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations Qualifications: • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED) • Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills • We prefer some experience working in the food service industry Compensation: $8.88 - $9.08 hourly
