Data & Decision Intelligence Security Manager

Salary: $30,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in a quantitative, engineering, or computer science field such as data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline; an advanced technical degree is preferred.
• We are seeking 12+ years of experience in data and analytics, decision science, technology strategy, or infrastructure and security analytics, with a proven history of converting complex technical data into executive decisions and measurable value.
• We need deep practical expertise in data analysis and decision intelligence, including metric design, outcome measurement, baseline development, correlation and trend analysis, and quantifying risk, value, and outcome attribution.
• We are looking for strong working knowledge of network and cybersecurity domains and their telemetry and data sources, including configuration and asset data, network telemetry, security findings, automation activity, control evidence, and service and adoption data.
• We require demonstrated ability to define common metrics, baselines, data lineage, and confidence levels, and to identify and escalate data-quality gaps across distributed source systems.
• We need proficiency with modern data and analytics tools, including SQL, Python or an equivalent language, data visualization, and analytics platforms, with the ability to produce reproducible, auditable analysis with documented assumptions and version control.
• We are seeking practical experience applying AI-enabled and agentic analysis to scale insight, with sound judgment around confidence, verification, and when human accountability is required.
• We need someone comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists, with excellent executive communication skills that translate technical evidence into clear recommendations, options, tradeoffs, and confidence levels.
• We are looking for a track record of influencing stakeholders across architecture, engineering, security, operations, finance, and vendor management as an authoritative interpreter of their data, driving decisions to closure without owning their platforms or delivery.

• We will have you turn network, cybersecurity, automation, operational, financial, and service data into executive decisions by defining the questions leadership needs answered and delivering clear recommendations, options, tradeoffs, and confidence levels.
• We will expect you to provide leadership with a recurring view of whether we are measurably more automated, resilient, secure, and consumable than the prior period, and identify the decisions and interventions that should follow.
• We will rely on you to quantify whether investments reduced cyber and operational risk and delivered the intended capability, attributing outcomes to spend and showing where investment can be consolidated, redirected, or stopped.
• We will need you to produce capability and vendor intelligence that supports renewal, consolidation, and prioritization decisions through a security and value lens.
• We will have you act as the accountable interpreter of authoritative data, validating and stress-testing evidence rather than owning the underlying production data platforms.
• We will expect you to establish shared definitions, baselines, data lineage, and explicit confidence levels so conclusions are transparent and defensible, while escalating data-quality and ownership gaps to the responsible teams.
• We will rely on you to provide measured evidence that keeps execution aligned to strategy, including outcome confidence, dependency impact, and early warning signals when results drift from intent.
• We will have you apply AI-enabled and agentic analysis to accelerate insight and scale output while exercising sound judgment on confidence, verification, and when human decision-making is required.
• We will expect you to partner with Architecture, Engineering, Automation, AIOps, data-platform, Security, Finance, and Sourcing teams to obtain authoritative evidence and drive decisions to completion while respecting their accountabilities.
• In your first two quarters, you will establish a North Star progression baseline for priority domains, deliver a quantified cyber and operational value assessment of one material initiative, build an executive scorecard that supports real decisions, enable at least one investment, vendor, or capability decision, and document the highest-value decision questions and data gaps that need to be closed.
• Your success will be measured by the executive decisions enabled, quantified risk reduction and capability progress, spend avoided or redirected, investments corrected or stopped, and the credibility of evidence produced for leadership and control functions.
