About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Psychiatry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ year License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have: 1+ years of experience with Behavioral Health/Psych Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with mission, values, and service standards. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit-specific physical demands while standing and walking most of the time on duty. Engages in significant bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week according to patient care requirements. Exposes oneself to high risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Meets physical demands including push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Provides patient care for those post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with mission, values, and service standards.
