What You'll Find Here A company where your ideas are heard Leadership is accessible and invested in your success Opportunities to learn, grow, and advance A team that celebrates wins together Technology that supports you, not replaces you A culture built on integrity, accountability, and doing what's right for our clients A strong company culture that embraces work/life balance Industry competitive earnings Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, Employee Assistance Program, Disability, Life) 401k available after 90 days with 6% match Essential Job Functions Effectively price and quote multiple modes of import / export ocean and air shipments Expert with pricing tools, databases, and processes Analyze changes in market conditions such as capacity, competition, schedules, and fares to develop, implement and track appropriate pricing strategies Collaborate closely with branch and worldwide offices in developing a strategy for winning success ratio Must be able to handle multiple requests at the same time Learn and effectively use the various pricing tools available Respond to pricing requests for Phoenix International global forwarding services from overseas offices, agents as well as commercial team and operational teams Build strong relationships with agents, carriers and the network to win more opportunities Build a base of reliable carriers to provide the best service and rates in all locations, domestically and internationally Solicit feedback from agents, clients, and team members to ensure win percentage is at its highest Monitor and report back to management monthly progress towards assigned goals and KPIs Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to specific requirements Requirements Must have at least 3-5 years of experience working for an International Freight Forwarder At least 1-2 years of data entry experience Analytical skills related to supply chain, logistics, and transportation Minimum 2 years' experience working in CargoWise preferred Demonstrated communication, prioritization, and time management skills Great attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs with a strong emphasis on Excel Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to effectively negotiate Strong desire to win business for the network and grow the organization Willingness to continually learn, grow and improve Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, upbeat and flexible JOB LOCATION Itasca, IL SENIORITY LEVEL Associate INDUSTRY Logistics & Supply Chain Transportation/Trucking/Railroad EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time Phoenix International is an Equal Opportunity Employer m/f/d/v/so Salary: $50000 - $60000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr
