Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Anna, Illinois. This position involves providing patient care in a 25-bed unit with a focus on general medical and surgical cases. The role requires delivering quality nursing services on a 12-hour day shift, with occasional weekends and holidays, ensuring optimal patient outcomes within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour Days, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum of 2 years of experience within Medical Surgical (MS) specialty, EPIC charting experience, general Med Surg skillset with emphasis on medical cases rather than post-surgical.
• Preferred Qualifications: Resilient, adaptable, and social candidates who manage change well; able to work hard and handle a patient nurse ratio of 1:5-6.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit has swing beds used for extended stay rehab patients.
  • No high acuity patients on drips.
  • Nurse/patient ratio typically 1:5-6.
  • Flexed up to 6 beds occasionally to accommodate census.
  • Shift notes indicate a 12-hour day schedule.
  • Holiday rotation is every other holiday.
  • Interview process includes a manager phone interview and MSP interview.
  • No on-call or call back requirements.
  • Location specifics: Facility with a licensed capacity of 25 beds, with an average census of 15-18 beds.
  • Covid-19 vaccination not required, subject to change.
