## Physical TherapistApplyremote type: No Teleworklocations: Seattle, WAtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: REQ-0000133120**Job Description****The University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest – Sports Therapy Department** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Physical Therapist - Pelvic Health Specialist.****WORK SCHEDULE*** Part-Time / 26 Hours Per Week* Day Shift**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*** Provide pelvic rehabilitation services to a variety of patients, including perimenopausal mothers, athletes, patients with incontinence, and patients experiencing pelvic health complications.* The Physical Therapist will serve as the pelvic health subject matter expert on our team and will work closely with our providers to support patients with pelvic health needs. **This position's** **caseload will consist of 100% pelvic health patients.*** When needed, the Physical Therapist will also provide general musculoskeletal rehabilitation services.**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Provide initial evaluation and determination of appropriate pelvic rehabilitation needs* Evaluate and monitor patient’s progression and makes appropriate adjustments to treatment plan to achieve maximum benefit* Administer position and exercises, massage, and other treatments to relieve pain, increase flexibility and strength, and decrease patient’s disability* Train patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living* When appropriate, establish a home program to encourage patient involvement and independence* Train patient and family members in home treatment procedures* Confer with patient, medical practitioners and appropriate others to plan, implement, and assess the treatment program**DESIRED*** 5+ years of work experience in a physical therapist capacity* Demonstrated experience in pelvic health rehabilitation, pelvic floor rehabilitation, or pelvic girdle rehabilitation**REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized school of physical therapy, or completion of a Physical Therapy program and one year relevant experience.Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.**LEGAL REQUIREMENT**Current Washington State license to practice as a Physical Therapist.**ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST**UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
