Position: Med/Surg Tele RN

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Location: Akron, OH

Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic team on a night shift schedule. The role involves providing high-quality care to patients in a telemetry unit.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13-20 weeks
• Work Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience is required.
• Must possess a valid permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty.

Skills and Experience

• Previous Charge Experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with various patient ratios in a telemetry setting.
• Familiarity with community hospital experience is beneficial.
• Experience with long-term acute care (LTAC) is a plus.
• Must have proficiency with charting systems relevant to patient care.

Compliance and Requirements

• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with allowances for medical or religious exemptions.
• All travelers must be nicotine-free, with a negative drug screen required within 12 months of the start date.
• Background checks must be completed prior to contract signing.
• Complete BCI/FBI prints are time-sensitive and must be conducted within 48 hours of signing the contract.

Onboarding

• Successful candidates will complete ECG rhythm recognition tests and safeMedicate during orientation.
• Travelers will have up to two attempts to pass the required assessments.
• Billable training modules will cover necessary pre-start requirements, typically taking 6-15 hours to complete.
