A rewarding opportunity is available for a pharmacist with leadership experience to take on the role of Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a retail pharmacy in Prophetstown, IL. This position offers a 13-week contract to hire arrangement with a consistent first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, providing work-life balance and a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all daily pharmacy operations while ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Supervising, training, and managing pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians to maintain a high-performing team.
• Reviewing and verifying prescriptions for accuracy and ensuring optimal patient safety.
• Managing medication inventory and controlled substances with attention to proper documentation.
• Developing and enforcing pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
• Collaborating closely with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and enhance patient care.
• Maintaining a safe and efficient workflow to support excellent pharmacy service.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear Illinois pharmacist license.
• Experience in pharmacy management or as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is required.
• Familiarity with Mckesson Enterprise software system is preferred.
