Position: Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Schedule: Part-time or PRN, based on client needs
Service Area: Metro Atlanta and surrounding counties

Position Summary

The Caregiver provides compassionate, reliable, non-medical assistance to clients in their homes. This role helps clients with daily activities, supports their independence, and offers families peace of mind. Caregivers follow each client’s care plan and report changes or concerns to the administrator or supervising nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, as assigned in the care plan.
• Provide companionship and support with daily routines.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other homemaker tasks related to the client’s care.
• Provide medication reminders as directed in the care plan.
• Assist with errands, appointments, and transportation when assigned.
• Observe and promptly report changes in the client’s condition, safety concerns, or incidents.
• Complete accurate visit notes and time records.
• Respect client privacy, preferences, dignity, and cultural background.
• Follow agency policies, infection prevention practices, and the assigned care plan.

Qualifications

• Experience providing care to older adults or people with disabilities preferred.
• Able to communicate clearly and maintain professional boundaries.
• Dependable, patient, and attentive to client safety.
• Able to meet the agency’s hiring, training, and screening requirements.
• Able to perform assigned duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
