Medical Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTIONAs a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support for your assigned provider in our patient care office. You will provide support through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesInterview patients and document basic medical historyOrganize and schedule appointmentsUpdate and file medical records and insurance reportsArrange laboratory servicesCheck with patients and type up patients’ chartsAssist during medical examinations with scribingPre-authorize medication prescriptions and imagingProduce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and formsHandle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial recordsPrepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instrumentsYou will be called upon to occasionally to perform medical assistant duties for a different provider than your usual assigned providerYou may also be called upon to occasionally cover the front desk (check-in or check-out)Assist with phone callsSkillsProven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretaryKnowledge of medical office management systems and proceduresExcellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workSocial perceptiveness and service orientedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skillsProficiency in Cerner Power Chart or equivalent EMR/EHR softwareOptional Preferred SkillsProficiency in Spanish is a plus but not requiredLicense:Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr Hunter Super Techs - TurnPoint
