As a member of our Palliative Care team, you will: Provide expert palliative care consultations for patients with serious and complex illnesses Partner with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to align care plans with patient goals and values Support symptom management, advance care planning, and shared decision-making Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals Help expand access to compassionate, high-quality palliative care services What Makes This Opportunity Unique? Ideal Candidate We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner who is: Passionate about caring for patients with serious illness Skilled in communication, symptom management, and goals-of-care conversations A strong collaborator who thrives in an interdisciplinary environment Committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care Required Qualifications: Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program Current Nurse Practitioner certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in the state of Maryland (or eligibility to obtain) Preferred Qualifications: Experience in palliative care, hospice, oncology, geriatrics, critical care, or another related specialty is highly valued Experience supporting patients and families through complex medical decisions and advance care planning is preferred Join Us If you're looking for a career where your clinical expertise and compassion can make a profound difference, we invite you to explore this opportunity with UM BWMC.
