Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in Azure Data Explorer (ADX) and Kusto Query Language (KQL) to design, develop, and optimize data visualization and analytics solutions. Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in Azure Data Explorer (ADX) and Kusto Query Language (KQL) to design, develop, and optimize data visualization and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, real-time analytics, and building scalable dashboards using modern Azure data services. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Write and optimize queries using Kusto Query Language (KQL) in Azure Data Explorer (ADX)
- Integrate Power BI with Azure Data Explorer and other Azure data sources
- Perform data modeling, transformation, and ETL processes using Power Query (M Language) and DAX
- Analyze large-scale datasets and provide actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Optimize report performance and ensure scalability for enterprise-level usage
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to define data requirements
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and reporting issues
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across dashboards
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI development
- Strong experience with Azure Data Explorer (ADX)
- Proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL)
- Strong knowledge of DAX , Power Query , and data modeling concepts
- Experience working with large datasets and real-time analytics
- Understanding of Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, etc.)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with streaming data and time-series analysis in ADX
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power BI, Azure Data Engineer)
- Experience with APIs and data integration
- Experience in Python or Spark for data processing
- Exposure to big data platforms and cloud-native architectures
- Understanding of data governance and security frameworks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance
