Type: Contract

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in Azure Data Explorer (ADX) and Kusto Query Language (KQL) to design, develop, and optimize data visualization and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, real-time analytics, and building scalable dashboards using modern Azure data services.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
Write and optimize queries using Kusto Query Language (KQL) in Azure Data Explorer (ADX)
Integrate Power BI with Azure Data Explorer and other Azure data sources
Perform data modeling, transformation, and ETL processes using Power Query (M Language) and DAX
Analyze large-scale datasets and provide actionable insights for business stakeholders
Optimize report performance and ensure scalability for enterprise-level usage
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to define data requirements
Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and reporting issues
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across dashboards

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
3+ years of experience in Power BI development
Strong experience with Azure Data Explorer (ADX)
Proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL)
Strong knowledge of DAX , Power Query , and data modeling concepts
Experience working with large datasets and real-time analytics
Understanding of Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, etc.)
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with streaming data and time-series analysis in ADX
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power BI, Azure Data Engineer)
Experience with APIs and data integration

Nice to Have

Experience in Python or Spark for data processing
Exposure to big data platforms and cloud-native architectures
Understanding of data governance and security frameworks

Soft Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance
