SENIOR APPLICATION SPECIALIST

Overview The primary purpose of the Senior Applications Specialist position is to provide coordination and support for internally developed, as well as vendor-supplied computer software programs related to the strategic business processes for Perioperative Services systems, in an environment that promotes industry best practices and optimal use of University Hospital resources. The Senior Applications Specialist is responsible for implementation, training, delivering procedural and basic technical support to customers, and collaborating directly with them on a daily basis, primarily through telephone, email, and help desk tickets. Responsibilities center on coordinating implementation, resolving customer issues and questions involving software, training, and troubleshooting. The incumbent will also work with University Hospital to identify process improvements and efficiencies. Responsibilities Coordinate the implementation of software programs (internal and vendor-supplied) related to perioperative services and related processes. Provide training, procedural guidance, and basic technical support to customers. Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, email, and help desk tickets; troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues. Collaborate with customers to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or another related field required. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a related technology field or business administration. Knowledge of modern office methods, practices, and procedures and software. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. Experience providing application support in a healthcare-related field preferred. Equivalent education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
