The Eliot Erie Station Location: Middletown, NY Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Now Hiring: Activities Assistant Are you energetic, compassionate, and passionate about enriching the lives of seniors? The Eliot at Erie Station Assisted Living Community is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to join our team and help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents. At The Eliot, we believe that quality of life extends beyond care. Our Activities team plays a vital role in promoting socialization, wellness, independence, and joy for our residents through a variety of recreational and therapeutic programs. Responsibilities: Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily recreational and social activities for residents Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities Lead activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, music, bingo, and special events Accompany residents on community outings and scheduled trips when needed Set up and clean up activity areas and event spaces Maintain activity calendars, supplies, and attendance records Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents Work collaboratively with nursing, dietary, and other departments to enhance resident experiences Observe and report changes in residents' participation, mood, or behavior to appropriate staff Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior living, healthcare, or customer service preferred Experience working with seniors, including those with dementia, is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be dependable, organized, and flexible Ability to lift, push, and transport activity supplies and equipment as needed What We Offer: Competitive pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour Supportive team environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Meaningful work making a positive difference in the lives of seniors Ongoing training and development Apply Today!
