Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) – Travel Contract in Albany, NY

Travel Healthcare Job Details

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift
- Shift: 8-hour days, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or IR Technologist
- ARRT certification or registration appropriate to the role
- Active New York State radiologic technologist license
- New York State injection license
- Demonstrated competency assisting with interventional radiology procedures and image-guided interventions
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Current documentation and credentials required for hospital onboarding
Interventional Radiology Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with interventional radiology examinations and image-guided procedures
- Support CT-guided and ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Assist with embolizations, port placements, and IVC filter procedures
- Support percutaneous nephrostomy catheter placements and exchanges
- Assist with chest tube placement, paracentesis, and thoracentesis procedures
- Prepare equipment, supplies, and procedure rooms according to established standards
- Prioritize patient safety, accurate imaging, infection prevention, and compassionate care throughout each procedure
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality patient outcomes
